Product Recall Information
Free-Standing and Slide-In Electric and Gas Ranges - December 2021 Voluntary Recall
-
Why is the Business conducting this recall?
As part of our commitment to product safety and loyalty to our consumers, we are voluntarily recalling affected units to provide a free in-home repair.
-
What is the issue that prompted the recall?
This recall is due to the potential that ranges with an improperly installed anti-tip bracket could tip-over if a heavy weight is placed on an open oven door, posing a risk of tip over and burn injuries from hot food or liquids in cookware. There have been no injuries or incidents reported.
-
What does the repair involve?
The Company is offering a free in-home service call to inspect the recalled range's anti-tip bracket, and ensure it is securely installed to the floor or wall.
-
Which model and serial numbers are affected?
Only ranges with a model number that begins with the information below AND with a serial number that starts with either “HS” or “LS” are included in this recall.

How can a consumer determine if a range is affected by this recall?
The recalled ranges can be identified by matching the model number on the unit's rating label with those listed in the table above. Depending on your model, the model and serial numbers can be found on a label visible on the left-hand side or top right when the oven door is opened, or on the left-hand side when the bottom drawer is opened. Only ranges with a model number that begins with the information above AND with a serial number that starts with either “HS” or “LS” are included in this recall.
-
Can consumers continue to use their ranges while awaiting a repair?
Consumers can continue to use the ranges but are cautioned not to place any heavy objects on the open oven door until the range's anti-tip bracket has been inspected and repaired if necessary.
